Henry Zinda, 58, of Morris, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday Feb. 15, at Assumption church, Morris, with Msgr. B. Petermeier, Rev. Fr. Renner and Rev. Fr. Bitgroth officiating. Mr. Zinda died suddenly of a coronary thrombosis on Thursday Feb. 11, while returning from fishing on Otter Tail Lake. Pallbearers were William Aust, Leslie Reinmuth, Leon Holbrook, Harry Hennen, Walter Huckle and Joe Spain. Interment was made in Calvary cemetery at Morris. Andrew Henry Zinda was born on Nov. 3, 1906, at Silver Lake, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Zinda. His parents moved to Appleton when he was very young and this is where he grew to manhood. He was engaged in farming, the trucking industry and later was employed in road construction with Hodgerman and Sons Construction, of Fairmont, as an operator engineer and the past summer with Dunnick and Gilchrest, of Olivia. He married Dorothy O'Malley, of Benson, on June 12, 1939. They lived in Holloway until 1959 when they moved for Morris. He was a former mayor of Holloway. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy, of Morris; one son, William Zinda, of Camp Lejeune, N. C.; two daughters, Cecilia, of Washington, D. C., and Charlotte of Morris; three sisters, Mrs. Vern Crosby (Ludwicka), of Appleton, Mrs. George Bryan (Anna) of Appleton, and Mrs. William Kashmark (Josephine), of Renville; seven brothers, Joseph, of Danvers, Michael Jr., of Currie, John, Simon, Severin, Ignace and Bernard, all of Appleton; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
