Vern Harris Burial: Evergreen Hill, Staples ***NOTE from Submitter: Parents of Floyd Killian were Simon(Sam) and Della Faye (Welch) Killian. Simon, b: 9 Oct.1864, died at Philbrook April 27, 1956. He built chimneys around the area as will as done carpenter work. In 1906 Sam and Della Faye were united in marriage. Sam and Della had 6 children. Floyd Samuel Killian b: Feb. 28,1908 Merle b: September 27, 1909 at Staples Carl Erwin b: April 4, 1911 and died August 30,1975 at Staples Elmer Edward b:August 6, 1912 and died October 27, 1946 Violet Lorraine b: May 13, 1914 at Philbrook Lilly Ann Mary b: December 14, 1915 The parents of Simon (Sam ) Killian were of German decent, both being born in Germany Floyd Samuel Killian married Martha Walter at Morris Minnesota /Feb. 28, 1938. They had 3 children Merle Killian married Ellen Corrit Nicols March 6, 1935 at Staples. Ellen was born Staples July 2, 1914. they had 5 children. Carl Erwin Killian married Margret Wilhelmia Towner, January 23, 1934 at Morris Minnesota. Margret was born September 17, 1904 and died November 19, 1961. They had 6 children. Elmer Eward Killian Ruth Halberg April 4,1932. Elmer was accidentall killed. They had 6 children. Violet Lorraine Killian married Theodore Albert Dukowitz. Theodore was born in Moran Township February 13, 1914. They had 10 children. Lilly Ann Mary married Dewey Cin in the fall at Morris Minnesota. Dewey Cin was born September 13, 1898 at Donnelly Minnesota in Pepperon Township to the earliest settler intha particular area. He was the son of John and Anna Cin who were area farmers. Dewey later took over his fathers farm and continued farming all his life. It was at the Methodist Church in Morris Minnesota that Dewey married Lilly Ann Mary Killian were united in marriage on December 22, 1934. The farm is now bing operated by his family.
