At his home in the Town of Reynolds, of heart disease, on Tuesday morning, 
December 29, 1885, Benjamin Maynard, aged 70 years and 2 months.

Deceased is one of the early settlers of Reynolds emigrating from Pike 
county Kentucky, fifteen years ago  and settling n the farm where he 
lived at  the time of his death. He has been in poor health for sometime 
and during the past ten days was unable to lie down and his death was 
not wholly unexpected. He leaves a wife to mourn his death with whom he 
has lived for forty-nine years, and a large family of grown children. 
The funeral services were held at the Reynolds church by his request, 
to-day at 11 o’clock and the burial will be made this afternoon.
