From the Todd County Argus, April 13, 1899

Wendolin Shumann, of Fawn Lake, died Friday last after an illness of 
a week, at the advanced age of 79 years and six months and was buried 
in the Catholic Cemetery at this place Monday.  For some time past the 
old man has been childish and had to be watched continually or he would 
wander away from home, but about a week before he died he left the house 
unnoticed and when found his feet and hands were badly frozen, which 
caused his death.
