Vetter The Bison Courier • Thursday July 25, 2002 • Page 5 Mass of Christian Burial for Adam A. Vetter, age 89, of Hettinger, North Dakota, formerly of Bison, South Dakota, were at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 25 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Bison. Fr. Brian Fawcett and Deacon Bill Dustman offi- ciated with burial in the Bison Cemetery. A rosary service was held at 9:45 AM. on Thursday morning July 25 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation was at the church from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. that day. Special music was provided by (edited). Serving as casketbearers were (edited). All friends and family were considered honorary bearers. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Adam Anton Vetter was born December 28, 1912 in a sod house 12 miles south of Bison, South Dakota to Peter and Mary (Burckhard) Vetter. He attended Lone Tree Country School. Adam met Laura Shainbarger and married her on September 23, 1934 in Burtrum, Minnesota. They had been married for 64 years when Laura passed away on August 4, 1998. Adam passed away on Saturday evening, July 20, at the Hillcrest Care Center in Hettinger, North Dakota. Surviving family members include: one son (edited) two daughters (edited) 15 grandchildren 45 great-granchildren five great-great-grandchildren two brothers (edited) two sisters (edited) numerous nieces and nephews Adam was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Laura, a daughter-in-law, Marlene Vetter, four brothers, one sister, one grandson and one great-grandson.
