Berryman Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic". 4/1965 Mrs. Nels Anderson Dies at 80 Years Mrs. Nels Anderson, 80, died April 16 at the Lake City Hospital where she had been a patient for two days. The former Alvina Fuhrman, a lifetime resident of this area, was born March 30, 1885 in West Albany. After her marriage to Robert Halpaus who preceded her in death, she was married to Nels Anderson in 1921. He died in 1945. Surviving are two sons, John Halpaus and Harley Anderson of Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Slauson of Lake City and Mrs. Ervin Pilger of St. Paul; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Hazel, two brothers and three sisters. The Rev. Alfred Ward conducted funeral services at First Congregational Church Monday and burial was in the Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements were at the Peterson-Sheehan Chapel.
