Zell, 71, Lake City, died at the Lake City Hospital Nov. 13. Mr. Zell was born Feb. 13, 1907, in Lake City to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zell. He married the former Alice Fick on Sept. 24, 1928, in Lake City. He was employed at Independent Grain and Feed for 26 years before retiring in 1969. Before that time, he was employed by Gillette & Eaton. Mrs. Zell preceded him in death in 1970. Survivors include one son, Willard, Lake City; two daughters, Evelyn Lu Zell and Mary Zell; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Phil (Bernice) Baker of Reads Landing. Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 11 am Wednesday, Nov. 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Father Harry Jewison officiated with burial in the Church cemetery. Pallbearers were William, Bruce and John Baker, Tom Solheid, Dave Zell and Ralph Haase.
