Berryman Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic". 1/1944 Rites held for Pioneer Woman of Jacksonville Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Rolandt, 81, were held Friday at the home and at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, with the Rev. E. K. Scharleman officiating. Mrs. Rolandt passed away at her home Monday, January 10. Born in Glasgow Township, Wabasha County on October 27, 1862, she was the daughter of Frederick and Mary Stahrman. On December 16, 1879 she married Joseph Rolandt, Sr. and they made their home on a farm in Gillford Township. They sold this farm five years later and moved to the present home farm near Jacksonville, where Mrs. Rolandt has made her home for 59 years. She was one of the first members of the Jacksonville Lutheran Church. Survivors are three sons, Alfred at home, and Frederick and Joseph of Lake City; two daughters, Claire at home and Mrs. Anna Shottenkirk of Lake City. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Her husband and one daughter, Alvina preceded her in death. Sisters who survive Mrs. Rolandt are Mrs. Clara Diepenbrock of Rochester, Mrs. Fred Ball and Mrs. G. Peters of Lake City. Interment was made at Jacksonville Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Pruter, Percy Walters, Henry Abraham, William Anding, Sr., Frank Purcell and Charley Heise. Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic".
