Berryman Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic". 1/1957 Mrs. William Geisler Services Wednesday Funeral services were held yesterday for Mrs. William (Barbara) Geisler, 68, lifelong resident of the Lake City area, who died Sunday morning, Jan. 27, 1957, at the Lake Cityt hospital. She had been ill for about a month. Mrs. Geisler was born November 10, 1888, in Wabasha County, the daughter of John and Anna Halpaus Kirtz. She was married to William Geisler Sept. 4, 1906. The lived and farmed in Theilman until 1945, when Mrs. Geisler moved to Lake City. She was a member of St. Mary' s Catholic Church and was active in the Rosary Society. Surviving are one son, Ben; three daughters, Mrs. Art (Helen) Hoffman of Red Wing, Mrs. Steve (Elizabeth) Huddell of Plainview, Mrs. Clarence (Ethel) Wieck of Lake City; one brother Andrew Kirtz of Lake City and four grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's, The Rev. Father N. Loehr officiating. Burial was at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wilfred Wallerich, john Schwirtz, Clarence Freise, Edward Freise, Frank Laqua and Jim Harney. Arrangements were handled by Roschen mortuary.
