He came to America 47 years ago and lived on a farm in Chester Township until sixteen years ago, when he moved to Lake City. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Meyer residing at Oronoco, Minn., and two step daughters, Mrs. J. H. Isensee and Mrs. J. C. Meyer, also two step sons, Henry and William Kriett of Lake City. Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. John's Lutheran Church in this city, Rev. Albrecht officiating. His three grand daughters from Oronoco were flower girls. The pall bearers were John Bremer, John D. Breuer, John Rickman, John Holst, Carsten Meyer and Henry Tiedemann.
