Schwirtz Rites Saturday Funeral services for Mrs. Edward L. Schwirtz, 52, were held Saturday morning in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in West Albany with the Rev. Fr. J. F. Corcoran officiating. Mrs. Schwirtz died in the Lake City hospital last Thursday morning after an illness which confined her to the hospital for seven weeks before her death. Born Bertha Wilde on May 18, 1894, she was married Edward L. Schwirtz on May 18, 1915, her 21st birthday anniversary. Surviving is her husband, four sons, Martin of Caledonia, Ralph and Rollin of Lake City, and Russell of Millville. Seven sisters and one brother also survive. They are Mrs. John Prebe, Mrs. Rose Sanders, Mrs. John Jostock, Sr., Mrs. Fred Murray, and Mrs. A. J. Herbst, Lake City, Mrs. George Redding and Mrs. Earl Wegner, Hammond, and William Wilde of West Albany. Four grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers were Wilfred Norton, Frank Timm, Paul Till, Thomas McGowan, Alfred Grobe and John VanHouton. Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic".
