FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Sheri Sexton Submitted: January 2002 ========================================================================= Mrs Samuel Hall Lake City Graphic, Tuesday Dec. 22, 1914 Mrs. Samuel Hall aged 83 years died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gould Lamb, Thursday evening, Dec 17. Miss Elizabeth Dermit was born in Ireland in the year 1831. While still in her native land she was married to Mr. Wm. Greer. In the year 1866 Mr and Mrs Greer came to this country settling in Hyde Park, Wabasha County, Minnesota. In this place they made their residence until the death of Mr. Greer in 1898. To Mr and Mrs Greer five children were born, two of whom died in childhood., the following surviving: Mrs. Ellen Wenthworth of Mandfield, S.D., Mrs. Gould Lamb of Lake City, and Richard Greer of Zumbro Falls. In the year 1900 Mrs Greer was united in marriage to Mr. Hall. Six months later Mr. Hall died. Since then Mrs. Hall made her home a few years in Millville and during the last few years with Mrs. Gould Lamb, just south of the city. For some years Mrs. Hall has been in ill-health and during the last years was confined to her bed. The end came peacefully Thursday evening at sunset. Of her it is said, And she is not for God took her. The funeral was held Saturday morning from the home of Mrs. Gould Lamb, Rev. C.H. Miller officiating. The burial was made beside the remains of Mr. Greer in the cemetery of Zumbro Falls.
