Lake City Graphic May 11, 1944 page 1. Mrs. Henze Dies Suddenly at Home Mrs. Maggie Henze was found dead at her home Tuesday morning by a neighbor, Mrs. Emma Danckwart. It is believed that Mrs. Henze, who lived alone, died suddenly of a heart attack, as she had been subject to such attacks recently. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm today (Thursday) from the Methodist church with the Rev Herman Knol officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Henry Moechnig, Roy Wittenborg, Fred Werner, Fred Schmidt, Peter Schafer and John Gamm. Maggie Annen was born March 26, 1866 at Stockholm, Wisconsin the daughter of Joseph and Catherine Annen. She lived on a farm near Stockholm with her parents until she was a young woman. After the death of her mother she and her father moved to Lake City and purchased a home. After her marriage to William Henze of Lake City, they made their home at the residence on North Seventh Street, where Mrs. Henze was living at the time of her death. Her husband died about 15 years ago. A member of the Methodist church here, Mrs. Henze was active in the Women's organizations and was also an active member of the W C T U. Survivors are one brother, Joseph Annen of Stockholm, Wisconsin, and a niece Mrs. E A Stoddard of Lake City. Several other nieces and nephews survive.
