John Halpaus, 75, Lake City, Dies John Halpaus, 75, Lake City, died at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester March 1. He had suffered from a heart condition. Mr. Halpaus was born Dec. 3, 1905, in Lake City to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Halpaus. He married the former Luella Rolandt on Sep. 18, 1943, in Wabasha. He was a self- employed mechanic. Survivors include his widow; one son, John Jr., Lake City; one grandchild and two step grandchildren; and one great grandchild; one brother, Harley Anderson of Lake City; and one sister, Mrs. Betty Slauson, Lake City. Two sisters and his parents preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Peterson-Sheehan Funeral Home. Pastor Michael Haar officiated with burial in Lakewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edwin Selck, Merlyn Brunkow, Morris Johnson, Jim Johnson, Ernest Klein and Jesse Longcor. The Peterson-Sheehan Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
