Pneumonia and Heart trouble cause of death-- House of Representatives adjourns out of respect to dead member's memory. Delegation from House and also from Senate attend funeral Monday. John Robinson, representative to the state legislature from Wabasha Couty, died at his home in Zumbro township early Saturday morning,Mrch 12, 1921. Mr. Robinson was taken ill about three weeks ago with pneumonia and heart trouble, and while in the earlier stages of the illness hope was held out for his recovery. It became apparent last week that he was entering the Valley of the Shadow. Out of respect to Mr. Robinson's memory the Minnesota House of Representatives adjourned Saturday until 8p.m. Monday. Speaker W.I. Nolan appointed a committee of six to attend the funeral, while Lieut. Gov. Collins appointed Senators Carley, Kingsbury and Gooding to represent the State Senate at the funeral. Floral gifts in profusion arrived at the Robinson home and were banked about the room where the remains of the dead legislator were view by the hundreds who came to pay their last respects. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon, March 14, the Rev. Mulden of Lake City officiating. The funeral cortege was long one, all sections of the county as well as various sections of the state being represented in the long line of those who followed the remains to the last ressting place in Pleasant Prarie cemetery.
