Berryman Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic". 4/1929 Young Bride of Two Years Dies Suddenly Mrs. Andrew Kirtz, 17, Succumbs to Meningitis Following Epilepsy; Buried Thursday Mrs. Andrew Kirtz died at St. Elizabeth hospital at 5:45 pm Tuesday following an illness of two days. Death was due to meningitis following epilepsy. She became ill suddenly Sunday and was taken to the hospital, where she died two days later. Requiem mass was conducted at 9 am today at St. Felix Catholic Church by Rev. John Bartholome. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Kirtz was only 17 years old and had been married a trifle more than two years. Margaret Lindow was born Jan. 10, 1912, in Wabasha, and was educated in St. Felix School here. On Feb. 19, 1927, she was married to Andrew Kirtz. The deceased is survived by her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lindow, and four brothers and sisters, Ruth, Whilimine, Eldene and Ervin. Pallbearers were Herbert Zeller, William Klages, L. J. Kralewski, Otto Gertchman, Joseph Zeimetz, and Ed Zeimetz. Those from a distance attending the funeral were William Klages and daughter, Anna, Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; Mrs. Whilimine Kralewski, Durand, Wisconsin; Wilfred, L. J. and Mrs. Joseph Kralewski, Durand, Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kirtz, Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. William Hook, Theilman; Louis Nipp, Theilman; Mrs. Pauline Walner, Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. William Geisler, Theilman; and Mrs. Charles Geisler, Lake City. Hundreds of Mrs. Kirtz's former schoolmates from St. Felix viewed her body last night and attended the rites today. Note: This obituary was taken from the newspaper "The Lake City Graphic".
