Morton The death of Mrs. Winifred Morton, a long time resident of Wabasha county occurred at St. Elizabeth hospital in this city about three o'clock Friday morning Aug. 10. Mrs Morton had made her home at the hospital in recent years. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from St. Felix church, Rev. Msgr. M. Wurst officiating. The remains wee laid to rest in St. Felix cemetery. Mrs. Morton was born in Ireland in 1834, the daughter of Hugh and Ellen Redmond. She emigrated to America with her parents and came to Wabasha county, Minn. in the early days of this section. After a short residence at Lake City she came to Wabasha where she engaged in the millinery business. Her marriage to Thomas B. Morton took place at St. Felix church in this city July 1 1878. Mr. Morton died Sept. 5 1912. Mrs. Morton leaves one sister Mrs. Nellie Bellinger of Seattle Wash. Published in the Wabasha Herald- Aug. 1917
