Funeral services were held there May 26 with interment in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Williams. Mr. Halpaus was born in Wabasha County March 29, 1875. He left Lake City 35 years ago. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ida Pilger, St. Paul, Mrs. Woodrow Key, Baldwin Park, California, one son, John E. Halpaus, Lake City, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Zell, Lake City and Mrs. Agnes Babilon, Pasadena, California, one brother, Joe Halpaus, Millville, and five grandchildren.
