Plainview News, March 18, 1904 page 5. Death of Mrs. Fred Sagissor After an illness of eight weeks, Mrs. Fred Sagissor passed away on Sunday, March 13, 1904, at her home in Highland. The news of her death created profound sorrow among her many friends I this vicinity, where she has spent her whole life and though death was momentarily expected the shock was a keen blow to the grief stricken family. Mrs. Sagissor was born in the town of Glasgow, April 30, 1860 and Wabasha County has always been her home. She was united in marriage October 6, 1885 to Fred Sagissor and to this union eleven children were born, nine of whom are living; Bertha, Lizzie, Fred, Will, Henry, George, Herman, Katie and Clara. She was a woman beloved by all who knew her. The kind manner in which she cared for her family and manifested toward others brought her very near to the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know her. Many beautiful tributes might be paid to this noble woman whose life work has been to care for and comfort her family. Funeral services were conducted from the church at Theilman Tuesday afternoon, Rev A Krahn officiating and the body laid to rest in the cemetery at that place.
