Sexton, a resident of Hyde Park township for 66 years passed away at her home on Wednesday October 11 after a few days illness from a heart attach. She was 86 years old. Mary Baker was born July 5 1853, at Cumberland Maryland. When a young women she came with her father to Wabasha. Her father, Joseph Baker, built St. Patrick's church at West Albany. On Nov. 8, 1873, she married at Wabasha to John Sexton by Father Trobec. She went with her husband to the farm home in Hyde Park where she has since resided. Children surviving her are Mrs. Leonard Voyer, St. Paul; Mrs. John Thornton, Zumbro Falls; Mrs. Frank Hall, Millville; Sister Venantia of St. Agatha Conservatory, St. Paul; Josephine at home; Mrs. Herman Laqua, Millville; Thomas and Edmund, Millville; Walter and Leo at home. There are thirty-one grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters surviving are Henry Baker, Starkweather, N.D.; William Baker, Detroit Lakes; Margaret and Catherine, Devils Lake, N.D. Funeral services were held on Saturday morning by Rev. Father Urdan Buckheit at St. Patrick's church at West Albany and burial was made in the church cemetery. Six grandsons ere the pall bearers, Edmund Thornton, James Thornton, Robert, John and Richard Sexton and Leanord Voyer. Published in the Plainview News Oct. 1939
