Sexton was born in Hyde Park on December 18 1859 and was at the time of his death 66 years and 23 days. He grew to manhood in this vicinity and on Feb. 20 1900 was married to Ellen Spellane. To this union three children were born, Blanche, John and Vivan and they with their mother survive him. Mr. Sexton had not been well for some time, but was always able to be up and around until a short time ago. Three weeks ago, Sunday he was at church in the morning and after he reached home complained of not feeling well. His condition grew worse and in spite of all doctors and his family could do for him he passed away Saturday evening. Besides the wife and children mentioned, the departed leaves to mourn his passing, two brothers Mike of Minneapolis and Will of Souix Falls S.D. and two sisters Mrs. M.A. Fox of St. Paul and Mrs. Francis Pitzke of Minneapolis. Funeral services were conducted at West Albany Tuesday. Father Glenn officiating and burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery. Mr. Sexton has lived in this vicinity all his life. He has made steadfast friends and his passing casts a shadow over this community. We shall miss him-Millville Review Published in the Wabasha Hearld Jan. 1925
