Fritche Submitted: February 2002 ========================================================================= The Waldorf Word October 18, 1929 Albert Fritsche Grandpa Fritsche Passed away at his home in Waldorf Saturday at 1:30 o'clock in the afternoon. The cause of death was old age. He was 84 years, 9 months, and one day old. Albert Fritsche Sr., was born at Christ Noryard, Germany, on January 11 1845. He served in the war between France and Germany in 1871. After the war he immigrated to America and he settled in St. Clair Minnesota. He was married to Whelhelmina Kelbing in 1872. Three years later they moved to Danville, Minn., where they lived until 1895, after which they moved to his present home one-mile south of Waldorf. Ten children survive. They are Henry Fritsche of Mora, Minn., Mrs. Herman Jeddeloh of Ogilvie, Minn., Robert Fritsche, Mora, Carles Fritsche, Faribault, Mrs. Frank Klinger, Waldarf, Mrs. Helmer Christenson, Albert Fritsche and Herman Fritsche of Waldorf. There are forty-five grand children and eighteen great grandchildren who survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home at one o'clock and at 1:30 at the church in Vivian, Rev. Paepper of Minnesota Lake officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery near the church.
