Boen, 98, who died June 11 in Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Erling Hansen of First Lutheran church officiated at the service, and special music was furnished by DeWayne Stark, vocalist, and Mrs. Richard Anderson, organist. Pall bearers were Basil Guggisberg, Phil Henderson, Jr., Ken Henderson, Pete Hegg, Gardner Linn and Curtis Helvig. Internment was in the church cemetery. Born August 2, 1886 in Long Lake township, she was the daughter of Martin and Christine (Erickson) Henderson. She attended District 19 school in Long Lake Township, where she married Lewis Boen June 15, 1980, They farmed in Long Lake township for many years. Mrs. Boen had been a resident of Pleasant View for the past 10 years. A lifelong member of Long Lake Lutheran church, she was active in the church Ladies Aid. Her hobbies included flowers and handwork. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972, and also by a sister an four brothers. Mrs. Boen is survived by a sister, Ella Guggisberg of St. Paul; and a brother, Philip Henderson of St. James. Funeral arrangements were handled by Pease Funeral Home.
