He was raised and educated in St. James High School with the Class of 1978. Following high school Brian entered the U.S. Army where he served until 1983. Brian remained on the East Coast near Washington D.C. until 1987 when he returned to Minnesota. On October 6, 1990 he married Melissa Palmer at Slayton, MN. Brian and Melissa lived in Sioux Falls, SD until 1997 when they moved back to Slayton. Brian spent the last two years living back in St. James. Brian enjoyed Sci-fi movies, handywork, was a member of the Eagles Club, and the First Presbyterian Church of St. James. The most important thing in his life were his three daughters - Shawna, Tara, and Brianna, and two granddaughters - Mia and Leah. Brian is survived by his parents, Neil and Eileen Curry of St. James; his daughters, Shawna, Tara, and Brianna; two granddaughters, Mia and Leah; one brother, Scott Curry and his wife Margaret of Edina; one sister, Trisha Doyle and husband Gene of Sacramento, CA; his ex-wife Melissa; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents. Services for Brian Dean Curry were held Friday, January 28, at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church, St. James, MN. Interments was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
