Henderson, 70, a lifetime resident of the community, died at Watowan Memorial hospital Friday. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Funeral services were at Long Lake Lutheran church Sunday afternoon with Rev. Paul Sorlien officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, the former Alice Olsen, one son, Kenneth, St. James, one daughter, Mrs. Peter (Marilyn) Hegg of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, two grandchildren, one brother, Phillip, St. James, and three sisters, Miss Marie Henderson and Mrs. Lewis Boen of St. James and Mrs.. Ernest Guggisberg of St. Paul. Three brothers preceded him in death. He was born in Long Lake township on October 10, 1900, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Henderson. He attended school in rural district No. 19 and on March 28, 1936 was married at the Long Lake church. The Hendersons farmed near Echols. He was a member of Long Lake Lutheran church and at one time was a member of the school board for district No. 19. His hobbies were sports of all kinds. Pallbearers were Harold Devens, Arvid Spong, Leonard Larson, Paul Fuller, Tore Olsen, William Olson and Ted Olson. Jensen-Watonwan Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
