He lacked but two days of being 84 years of age at the time of his death. Funeral services were conducted for him Monday, being in charge of Rev. T. A. Conrad. The remains were laid to rest in Mt. Hope Cemetery. He is survived by six children, as follows: Gust and Charles Olson of St. James, Mrs. Alfred Anderson, St. James, Mrs. A. E. Johnson, Chisago City, William Olson and Mrs. Charley Anderson of this city. Peter Ollson was born in Dahlsland, Sweden, Feb 2, 1835. In 1864 he was united in marriage to Miss Catherine Anderson. Two years later the young couple came to America and after living in the East for two years came with others to the great state of Minnesota and settled on a farm near Kansas Lake. They made that their home for 30 years, and raised a family that has been an honor to them. Mrs. Olson died in January, 1899, and since then Mr. Olson has made his home with his daughter Mrs. Charley Anderson.
