JOHANNA SWANSON Mrs. Johanna Swanson was born in Esanga, Sweden, Dec. 10, 1848, and came to this country in 1880 and in the same fall married P. O. Swanson. Six children were born to this union: Carl E. Swanson and Edward W. Swanson of West Sveadahl, Mrs. Arthur Wing of Montana, Mrs. Oscar Werner (deceased), Mrs. Russell Norgan, Washington; Mrs. Henry Beckstrom of St. James. She was a kind, loving Christian woman when home. Taken to St. Peter hospital Nov. 28, 1895, and has been there ever since until her death Oct. 3rd, at 12:30 a.m. P. O. Swanson died two years ago. She is mourned by five children and eight grandchildren. The funeral was from the West Sveadahl church Sunday at 10:30. The church was packed. Beautiful floral offering were in evidence. Very comforting words were spoken by Rev. Mellford. The pallbearers were J. H. Swanson, Otto Swanson, John Swanson, Aug. E. Peterson, Gust Anderson, and Victor Samuelson. Burial was in West Sveadahl cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to offer our hearty thanks to friends and relatives who by words and deeds made the days of mother's (Mrs. Johanna Swanson) days of burial easier.
