Hogan: Born: March 4, 1809, Ballymore, Ireland Died: October 24, 1911 Homer Township, Winona Co., MN Age 102 Obituary: The Winona Independent newspaper, Thursday, October 26, 1911 “OBITUARY – Hogan – James H. Hogan, 102 years old, who died at the home of his son, James Hogan, Jr., Homer Ridge, as was announced in The Independent yesterday, was born in Ireland, and came to America at the age of eleven. He made his home in this country since 1856. Three children survive. They are: Mrs. Anna Nunn of St. Paul, Thomas Hogan of South Dakota and James Hogan, Jr. of Homer Ridge. The remains will be brought to St. Mary’s cemetery this morning where the services will be conducted by Rev. Fr. P. J. Gallagher. Tomorrow morning requiem mass will be celebrated in honor of the dead at the pro-cathedral.”
