Geary was born on the homestead where he still lives in section 36, Corinna township, August 8, 1878, son of Patrick B. and Margaret (Gorman) Geary. He attended the neighborhood schools and learned farming from his father. In 1898 lie went to Kennan, Wis., and worked as carpenter work for two years. In 1900 he came home and operated the home farm for his father until 1910, when he purchased it. He is a successful man, and carries on general farming and stock raising along the latest approved lines.
