They were part of the Methodist Episcopal denomination. Charles Dally, one of the early pioneer settlers, donated 2 acres on the northwest corner of section 24 in Southside for a building site for a church and cemetery. This is the present location of the Grace Cemetery. Grace Church eventually became what is now the Annandale United Methodist Church. Although the cemetery grounds have always been mowed, it had slowly deteriorated over the years. Two scouts made the renewal of Grace Cemetery their Eagle Scout projects, Mike Hemminger Jr. in 2002 and Dan Peterson in 2004. A Grace Cemetery Committee consisting of Brian Partridge, Don Daniels, Marty Ferguson, and Mark Jordan has formed to make the cemetery viable again, and the entire cemetery has been cleaned and fully plotted. There are still a few stones in need of repair, but the cemetery begun by pioneer settlers so many years ago still thrives today thanks to the efforts of current residents of Southside Township. Grace Southside Cemetery is located on 90th St NW in Southside Township in South Haven. Brian Partridge is Grace Cemetery's Sexton and Jill Bishop transcribed the records for the USGenWeb.
