Emily Jordan 1821 - 1869 May 26, 1822/25 - Dec 31, l916/18 Union E Mary Tubbs 1865 - 1870 1846 - 1879 Submitter's note: On Emily's birth and death dates: I recently received Emily Jordan Staples Pryor Kinney death certificate. Her birth date is listed May 26, 1825, we had this as 1822. Actually I really think is was 1822 because so many passed references to this date have established that same year. But the death date is undisputable and must be Dec 31, l916 she was for a fact buried in Montecello. We have on the marker 1918. Emily's 2nd husband: William Pryor (buried in the Pryor family grave in the Hilltop Pioneer Cemetery) Emily's 3rd husband: Wilson Kinney (We believe he is buried in Little Falls cemetery) Last Memorial Day our family had placed a marker on the graves for George Lincoln Staples, Emily Jorday Staples, Mary Staples Tubbs, and Union Staples. The original markers had been destroyed by vandals. George Lincoln Staples was the brother to Isaac Staples of Stillwater, and had been the head of all the logging operations for the Staples mills. He also was the father of King George Staples for whom the town of Staples, MN was named. George also was father to Isaac Staples who had been mayor of Little Falls as well 23 years holding office in Oregon State Legislature as senator. His son in Oregon represented Minnesota in Oregon centennial and had been Pres of Mnn of Oregon. Jim Staples
