My gr gr grandfather, Abraham Rudolph, lived in Wright Co. MN from 1876 
until his death in 1904.  I have extracted and indexed the births, 
marriages, deaths, and entries of historical interest from his journal.

...went to the bee tree that S SMITH & I found some time ago...then Man 
SMITH & J.G.T.R. (John Gearhart Thompson RUDOLPH) came and cut the tree 
down then we took...and carried the honey to my house about 125 lb of 
honey.

LARSON wagon to the graveyard on J.J. DAVIS lot on Lake John where we 
buried Hettie.

...fire raging in the woods I helped to rake and back fire.  Then the 
fire came from the South to my improvement burned a lot of my brush 
fence and burned most of the brush on my clearing...I did not go to bed.

sweped over most all my wood lands it raged today worse than yesterday
...got one of my feet stobed (stabbed?)...I am resigned to my loses.

first tree of the kind I ever saw.

Sylvester RUDOLPH) wife died on the 13th. (Jeff Co. PA)

I walked down to the M.E. Church open the house and put on fire then Rev. 
BROWN preached the funeral sermon for H. LARSONs little girl then to the

I locked the schoolhouse after having a Mormon preacher leave I sent the 
key to Mistrefs MAYHEWs...Mistrefs J. NOYS told me to do so. I went to 
some trouble to prevent a Mormon from preaching in our schoolhouse.

W.J.R. (Wilson Jenks RUDOLPH) had some words this morning started about 
the Mormons because I shut the schoolhouse last night against the Mormon 
preacher.

RUDOLPH) baby buried.

typhoid fever.
