Ims is one of Sioux Agency township's industrious and prosperous farmers, operating a rented farm of 300 acres of sections 30 and 19. Mr. Ims is a native of Yellow Medicine county and was born in Sioux Agency township January 25, 1887. He is a son of John O. and Anna (Mauersen)Ims, natives of Norway, who came to the United States in 1884 and located in Yellow Medicine county. Here the mother died July 28, 1905. The father is a resident of Sioux Agency township. Carl J. Ims has spent his entire life in Sioux Agency township and was educated in the schools of district No. 8. He remained at home and assisted his father with the farm work until 1910. That spring he rented his present farm and has since been farming for himself. He is a member of Rock Valley Church of Sioux Agency township. Mr. Ims was married October 10, 1909, in Minnesota Falls township, to Alma Eye, who was born in Hanley Falls, Minnesota, September 10, 1891.
