Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: LaNaye Hennen EMIL JUST (1886) Emil Just is a native of Yellow Medicine county, having been born on the farm which he now operates November 2, 1886. He is an industrious and successful farmer and rents 240 acres on section 5, Posen township, from his father. Emil is a son of Gustav and Emma (Kaatz) Just, natives of Germany, who have been residents of Yellow Medicine county since 1884. For two years after his arrival in Yellow Medicine Gustav Just worked out. He rented a farm in Posen township one year and then located on the farm now operated by his son, eighty acres of which he had purchased upon his arrival. On that farm he lived until 1911, when he and his wife moved to Wood Lake village. Emil Just grew up on the farm in Posen township and was educated in the school of district No. 62. He worked for his father until the latter's removal to town, since which time he has been farming for himself. Mr. Just has been clerk of school district No. 72 ever since he was twenty-one years of age. He is a member of the German Lutheran church of Wood Lake. On March 12, 1911, in Minnesota Falls township, Mr. Just was married to Marie Plath, a daughter of William and Martha Plath, of Minnesota Falls township.
