He was born February 22, 1873, received a district school education, and grew to manhood on the farm. In 1906 he purchased the property and has since operated it to his own account. Mr. Gullickson was a member of the Normania township board one term, assessor one year, and constable one term. He holds membership in the Norwegian Lutheran church. He has stock in the Hazel Run Produce Company and is secretary of the recently organized telephone company. The parents of Mr. Gullickson were Gullick and Margrit (Sigerson) Kittelson, natives of Hittedahl, Norway. They came to America in an early day, lived in Wisconsin a few years, and were homesteaders and pioneer settlers of Yellow Medicine county, securing land under the homestead act in Normania township. both parents died in the county. Ole Gullickson was married March 19, 1907, to Julia Jenson, who was born in Helgeland, Norway, and who died February 15, 1911. There are two children in the family, Myrtle and Goodwin B.
