He was born in Adams County, Wisconsin, and when less than one year of age was brought to the county by his parents, Jens C. and Annie (Quam) Lecy. Ole was educated in the district school and lived on his father's farm until 1903. Then he went to Saskatchewan, Canada, took a homestead, secured title to it, and engaged in farming there six years. The he returned to Yellow Medicine, although he still owns his land in the north country. Upon his return Mr. Lecy lived at home a short time, erecting buildings on his present place, the northeast quarter of section 9, which he rents from his father. Mr. Lecy was married January 26, 1902, in Sioux Agency township, to Annie Waller who was born in the township September 21, 1882.
