Anderson, farmer of Hazel Run township, owns and farms the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 33 and twenty-six acres on the southwest quarter of section 27. The place is know as Comstad Farm. Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden in 1851 and is a son of Anders and Easter Person, who both died in Sweden. He lived in Sweden until 1891, working at the carpenter trade and farm work. He came to the United States that year, coming direct to Yellow Medicine county and locating in the vicinity of Hazel Run village. For several years he worked at farm labor. In 1897 he bought his farm in Hazel Run township and has since been engaged in farming it. At Hanley Falls, Minnesota, on July 31, 1897, Mr. Anderson was united in marriage to Amalia Nilsen, who was born in Norway in 1858. She died March 17, 1910.
