PAULSON (1884) George O. Paulson, farmer and landowner of Wergeland township, has lived in that precinct since he was twelve years old. He was born in Wisconsin February 19, 1872. His parents, Hans C. and Gurina Paulson, came from Norway in 1867 and located in Yellow Medicine county in 1884. The father died here in 1912; the mother now lives with a daughter, Mrs. M. G. Gunderson, in Oregon. In 1884 George Paulson came with the family to Yellow Medicine county. He worked for his father until twenty-five years old and then rented the place. He conducted the farm under lease from his father until the latter's death. Then he purchased the place. Mr. Paulson is a member of the Masonic and Modern Woodmen lodges of Canby. The subject of this review was married November 23, 1898, to Augusta Gunderson, a native of the county. They have two children: Roy, born January 26, 1900; and Howard, born July 20, 1904.
