Bryan and Robert Rose, Published by Bryan, Brand & Co., St. Louis Missouri, 1876. ********************************************************************** Charles Rodgers and his wife, Elizabeth Harris, of Halifax County, VA., had one son, Charles B., who was a Lieutenant in the War of 1812. He settled in Callaway County, MO., in 1829, and at the commencement of the war with Mexico he raised a company in Callaway and Audrain count- ies, and served as Captain of his company during the war. His wife was Aletha Overfelt, of Bedford County, VA., and their children were: Rich- mond H., Charles A., Andrew J., James C., John L., Elizabeth J., Sarah H., Virginia C., Thomas R., Isaac C., William G. and Aletha J. Charles A.
