Harrison Looking for descendants of Jesse and Rachel (Harrison) Harrison.
Moved from western VA to KY, then IL, and MO, arriving about 1824. I've
seen sources which claim that Jesse remarried after the death of Rachel
and the second marriage produced five children. Would like to share notes

 Miller I am trying to find some information about my great grandfather
and great great grandfather who was born in Rolla, Missouri. Their names
were Lea Miller (great grandfather) and I am unsure about my great great
grandfather. We belive that Lea Miller was born 1876 and died 1970 in
Rolla BC Canada, He left Missouri. in aprox. 1908. Lea's father was in
either the confederate or the union during the civil war for Canada. As
for my great great grandfather, we are not sure about anything except that

 McPherson ,Canterbury Looking for information/ descendants of Nancy
McPherson and George Canterbury. Geo. died in MArion County in 1837. Nancy
and children are believed to have migrated to Audrain County where she
married her former brother-in-law, Thomas O'Donnell in 1849. Geo. and
Nancy had the following children who may have survived to adulthood: Mary

PATE , LEWIS I am trying to find some information on my ancestors who
lived for a time in Audrain County, MO. Their names were Thomas Williams
PATE and his wife Hester LEWIS. I know that Tom appears in the 1840 and
1850 census records in Audrain County. However Tom is apparently dead by
1860 as only his widow shows up after that. It occured to me that there
might be a will or something registered for Tom as some of his children
were still minors at the time of his death (his youngest was born in
1853). Does anyone have the county courthouse address? I would also like
to know where Tom is buried. Tom's widow Hester eventually remarried (by
1870) a guy named William McCullum and I naturally wonder if the marriage
took place in Audrain County. Any queries on the family are welcome I

 Trenor I now this is going to be a very long shot, But I am hoping that
someone will be able to help me. I am loooking for information on my great
Uncle Elbert B. Trenor, who was born on April 17,1864 in Craig County,
Virginia and came to Missouri as a young man. In some information that was
sent to me it states that he died in either 1928 or 1929 in Fullton,
Missouri and was taken to Benton City to be buried. However it does not
list any cemetery or anything else. However when his father, my great
grandfather died in 1930 it states that Elbert is living in Missouri. Any

 Williamson My Gr Gr. Grandmother lived in Audrain Co. MO from just after
the Civil war until ? Her name was Mary "Barbara" Muffley Williamson, She
married Joseph Kochling or Kochland. in 1866 in Ralls Co. they were
indexed in Audrain Co. in 1870. She married a William Cook in abt 1876.
Her daughter was Sabina Williamson. Her obit stated that she was raised in
a home that was known far and wide as the half way house as it was half
way between Hanabal and Mexico Mo on the Santa Fe Trail. Does any one have

 Aschemann I am looking for information on the Frank Aschemann (Ashman in
1890 Census) family that settled in or around Martinsburg in the early
1880's. Also burial records, naturalization records and marriage records.
Could you tell me where to write? Or, are all these records in the state
historical files in St. Louis? Any suggestions or help you might give me
would be greatly appreciated. The family came to the U.S. around 1880 or

Queries (March 1998)

Everhart I have searched for several years for information for a Great
Great Uncle of mine. Martin Everhart. He was born in Germany in app. 1815.
He may have came to the USA in 1844. (His parents and younger brother
landed in New Orleans in Nov. of 1844 but he is not on the passingership
list then. ) They came directly to Audrain Co., Mo. They were George and
Elizabeth Everhart and the youngest son; Christopher. My only records for
Martin isthe letters he wrote home from California in the 1850 where he
had gone to dig for gold. He is back in Mo. for the 1870 census....listed
right after Christopher and his family and before Christophers mother in
law. Martin is listed with a wife, Susan and their 3 daughters. Mary,
Jane, & Elizabeth. The next information I have for him is a hand writen
legal looking paper listing all his belongings and listing him as
deceased. It is dated in August, 1880. Christophers name is on it. Also
the Audrain Co. Court House. (I have been unable to find any information
at the court house for this .) I would appricate any information anyone

 Oglesby Richard F. Oglesby was b. in May 1949? in MO(?), he died August
12, 1919 and the funeral service was held in Vandalia, Audrain Co., MO. He
was married first to Gertrude LANCASTER on June 20, 1864 and they had one
child Albert OGLESBY b. in 1860's before divorcing. Richard OGLESBY
remarried a Mary Dixon ? and they had three daughters (I think the first
two are hers by a previous marriage because of dates, 1) Lena OGLESBY who
married a F. J. CHAMBERLAIN, 2) Della R. OGLESBY, who married a Forrest
BRANSTETTER, 3) Lettie Oglsby b. 1869 and died 9-16-1897 in Vandalia,
Audrain Co., MO. Albert OGLESBY m. Julia W. JOHNSON IN January 31, 1892 in
Vandalis, Audrain Co., MO. Am not sure of her parents. Albert and Julia
had 8 children, 1) Darlene Oglesby, 2) Sadie Oglesby, 3) Lillian D.
Oglesby, 4) Rosa Gertrude Oglsby, b. 12-20-1895 d. 3-17-1937 in Perry,
Ralls Co., Mo (she married "Jack" Frederick Rosell Long on 2-12-1913 in
Perry, Ralls Co., MO) 5) Russell R. Oglesby, 6) Ralph Oglesby, 7)
daughter, d in infancy, 8) Albert Johnson Oglesby, b. March 1916. In the
Audrain Co., Probate records, property listed for Richard Oblesby was one
half interest in the NE corner, lot 19 of Spainish Land Grant #3177 in
Ralls Co., MO. In the Ralls Co., 1878 Plat book, there is a M.J. Oglesby
living or faming on 40 acres (D) in #3177 Ralls Co., MO. Does any one have
any more information on These OGLESBY's or their connecting families?

Pickard Looking for information on the ancestors and descendants of Sarah
H. Pickard who was born in 1830 in Leeds, England. She married George
Edward Dixon in Leeds, England on December 23, 1853. They moved to
Pennsylvania, then to Audrain County, Missouri. Sarah died in 1902 at
Madison, Audrain County, Missouri. Any information would be appreciated.

 Elle My G-G-grandfather's last name was Elle. His wife's name was Eva
(Rusk) Elle. They came from Saxony, Germany to Warrenton, Mo. I think this
happened about 1865. An old letter states that he was a carpenter and that
he helped to build a place called Hart's store and also the county
courthouse. It goes on to say that they built a tavern, that he was the
jailer for a while and that he was eventually elected County Sheriff. They
had at least 2 children. Elizabeth Elle was born in Germany, and her
brother, Daniel who was born in Missouri. Daniel married Mary Catherine
Meyer, who was born in St. Louis. Mary Catherine's mother's maiden name
was Stoll. Daniel and Mary Catherine had 3 children, Gertrude, Carolyn and
Daniel. Gertrude is my father's mother. Shortly after the youngest was
born, they moved to Oklahoma. If you are researching this family, or have
info on them, I hope you will consider sharing with me. Thanks. Yvonne
Reinke (mongo@tscnet.com) I have tracked my paternal grandmother's family
to Missouri. The limited info I have comes from a letter written in 1969
to my grandmother from her sister. The first generation of the Elle family
in this country came from Saxony, Germany. Although Mr. Elle was
originally from Norway, he apparently emmigrated to Germany at a young
age. He met and married his wife in Germany. Mr. Elle came to the US
first, through New York. My guess is that this happened about 1845. G-
grandfather worked his way from New York to Warrenton, Mo. The Wabash RR
was building from St. Louis west and he got a job as a carpenter on depots
and section houses until he got to Warrenton. He quit the RR then and
began building town buildings. Those mentioned in the 1969 letter were
Hart's store and the county courthouse. His wife, maiden name Eva Rusk,
came about 1 1/2 years after her husband. The letter states they built a
tavern. At some point in time, G-grandfather was jailer and later elected
as County Sheriff. His first name is never mentioned. These two people had
at least two children that I know of. A daughter, named Elizabeth (Elle)
Horn, born in Germany. And Daniel Elle, probably born in Warrenton. Daniel
married Mary Catherine Meyer, who was born in St. Louis during the early
1870's. Daniel and Mary gave birth to Gertrude Meyer Elle on July 4, 1894
in High Hill, Missouri. This is my father's mother. I am having trouble
finding any info on High Hill. What county? Does the town still exist,
etc? Shortly after the youngest sibling was born, the family moved by
covered wagon to Oklahoma. How'd you like to do that with a newborn and 2
toddlers?!) I've gathered all the info I can from known family members.
Perhaps you can give me the most direct route to my end goals. The
addresses for Historical Societies in the area, where I would write for
marriage, birth and death records, and do you know what info each one
contains?

 JOHNSON I am searching for any info on GEORGE JOHNSON, born about 1869,
who lived in Mexico MO in 1930s. He worked on the railroads and became
disabled. He returned to his home in Indiana after living several years in
Mexico. He had an uncle Andrew Jack JOHNSON who was a railroader also I
may have lived there. Would like to know what resources are available in
the county such as any directories or publications for the 1930s period as
