On May 21, 1905 a few ladys at EXETER met at the CHRISTIAN Church, and organized a society known as the CEMETERY ASSOC. For the Purpose of cleaning and keeping in order the MAPLEWOOD CEMETERY. Officers were elected in due form, as follows. Pres. Mrs. G.W. Ervin Vice Pres. Mrs W.A. BASH Sect. MRS. J.W. WEST Treas. MRS. C.K. ELLSTON Those present in addition to the above were, Mrs. I.B. Gaskin, Mrs. S.R. Roseberry, Mrs. A.L. Kersey, Mrs Chars. Bates, Mrs. P.J. Stephens, Mrs. I.H. Rogers and Mrs. D.D. Burton. All joined and paid dues, D.D. Burton paying for 2 months. It was agreed that this assoc, meet the first WED. in each month. That each member pay $ .05 (five cents) a month dues. Said meetings be held at the homes of members. Nothing further the meeting adjourned to meet with Mrs. F.W. Ervin, June 7 and 2pm. The President, as soliciting committee to see all parties interested in the cemetery.
