Barry County, Missouri Roaring River Cemetery 2, AKA Old Russell Cemetery The following June 2003 transcriptions submitted by Brandon Burns A sign at the gravesite has the following captions: Milo B. Russell and Nicey Haddock Russell, Roaring River pioneers, married and settled along the river in 1841. They cleared the land, build their home, farmed and raised eight children. Here, their bodies were laid to rest in "the garden" on the side of their home. This grave site has been restored with the contributions of many of their descendants. 2001 Image in the background: The Milo Russell house in 1858. Milo and Nicey's grave site is enclosed by a fence with gravel on the ground. The original stone sits in front, with two flower vases behind, followed by the large new stone.
