Barry County Missouri Ancestors- Terrell Crumley Family Terrell Crumley Family Submitted by: Donna Cooper Terrell Crumley was a brother to my gr grandmother, Harriett Crumley Haddock. He married into the Walraven family and so his genealogy is a most interesting one. Terrell was born about 1827 and was first child of Thomas Charles and Susan Terrell Crumley. He married into the daughter of Jonathan Walraven family while the Crumley family was still living in Georgia and long before they had met up with the Haddock family in Barry County, MO. Because Terrell was the first child of Thomas and Susan Crumley it led us to the clue that Susan's maiden name was Terrell. It isn't firm -- but agreed by most Crumley researchers that she was probably the dt of Susan Oliver and a man named Terrell and that they were married in S.C. before coming to Buncombe County, NC., where Terrell Crumley was born. The Crumley family is from a long line of Quaker heritage and their roots are easily traced back several generations. And even more heritage comes into play with Thomas Crumley's mother Ruth Morgan, because she was the dt of Henry Morgan. And it is agreed by most Crumley and Morgan researchers that Henry is the son of Col. Morgan Morgan, brother of Sarah Morgan Boone. (Daniel Boone's mother and brother.) Children of TERRELL CRUMLEY and PRUDENCE WALRAVEN are: i. Samuel7 Crumley, b. Abt. 1849. ii. Nathaniel Crumley, b. 1851, GA. Notes for Nathaniel Crumley: Records of Nathaniel Crumley running afoul with the law and Prudence placing a morgage on property to bail him out in Barry Co., MO. iii. Nathaniel Crumley, b. Abt. 1853. iv. Harriet Crumley, b. Abt. 1856. v. Josephine Crumley, b. Abt. 1859. vi. William Crumley, b. Abt. 1861. vii. John Crumley, b. Abt. 1863. viii. James Crumley, b. Abt. 1867.
