Francis Tucker Aug 7, 1854-Mar 6, 1908 Emma Thornton Tucker Oct 6, 1855-Feb 2, 1929 Francis Tucker was nicknamed Frank Tucker and was the son of James Tucker and Catharine Bradley Tucker, the pioneers. Francis was born August 7, 1854 and married Emma (Emily) A. Thornton on Aug 30, 1874. Emma was born October 6, 1855, the daughter of Kinnion Mason Tucker and Jane Boatwright Tucker. Emma was listed in the 1870 census for Christian Co, Marion Twp, Mo. She was also included in the membership list for the Roaring River Baptist Church in 1901. Roaring River Baptist Church was at Eagle Rock, Mo. Francis owned 152 acres in Sec 7 of T 21N, Range 26W. His sister Cynthia Tucker Smith (Mrs Jasper Smith) was on the East and Charles K. Tucker was South of her. Francis also had 40 acres in Section 8 with his nephew Lewis Smith directly North of him. His land joined B.F. Curry. Francis Tucker died March 6, 1908 and is buried in the Munsey Cemetery at Eagle Rock, Mo Emma A. Thornton Tucker died February 2, 1929 and is buried beside her husband in the Munsey Cemetery. Submitted by Joy Guentert EMALINE (EMMA, EMILY) THORNTON TUCKER OBITUARY (Mother of C.K.) Mrs. Emily Thornton Tucker was born October 6, 1855. She departed this life Februray 3, 1929, at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 28 days. She was married to Frank Tucker over 50 years ago. To this union was born 11 children, nine of whom survive her. One child died in infancy, another daughter, Mrs. George (Rose) Haddock, preceded her about five years ago. She was converted early in life and united with the Baptist Church. She lived a consistent Christian life, was a good mother and loved by all who knew her. She was taken to the Muncey School House where an impressive funeral service was held, conducted by Bro. Nan Baker. Six of her grandsons were pallbearers. They were Richard and Paul Tucker, Ernest and Lois Haddock, Norman and Alvis Ball. Mrs. Ada Curry and Miss Lucy Smith were flower girls. A large crowd gathered to pay their last respects to a highly- respected citizen. The song service was conducted by the Eagle Rock singing class. Mrs. Dona Cornell was the leader. She leaves to mourn her loss nine children, 52 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a host of friends. Her children are C.K. Tucker; Mrs. John Easley, Gravette, AR; Mrs. Henry Phillips, Story, AR; Mrs. William Farwell, American Falls, ID; Oliver Tucker, Cassville, MO; Mrs. Finis Ball, Frank, Bob, and Everett Tucker, Eagle Rock, MO. All (of her children were] present at the funeral except Mrs. Henry Phillips. Her remains were laid by the side of her husband in the Muncey Cemetery. The bereaved ones have our heartfelt sympathy.
