Pictured below are two of Carl Montgomery's  great  uncles,  Joshua  and
James Montgomery. They along with brother Thomas Carroll served  in  Co.
I, 8th Mo, Inf. C.S.A. James was captain of company I. They grew  up  on
Shoal Creek between Exeter and Wheaton, Mo.
