Roller The announcement was made Saturday of the marriage of Mrs. Zoula Robinson of Kansas City and L.N. Hagood, which was solemnized March 19, by Rev. Baity, in Kansas City. The marriage had been kept a secret from even the most intimate friends of the couple until Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Hagood went to Kansas City yesterday morning, and Mrs. Hagood left this morning for Denver Colorado to spend some time. Mr. and Mrs Hagood will reside in Nevada, Mr. Hagood having a large Jewelry business here. Mrs. Hagood, who was a daughter of the late A.B. Cockerill, formerly lived here for the past two years has been living in Kansas City. (Note: The Nevada mentioned is the town of Nevada in Vernon County, Missouri) -------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edward Hagood Badly Hurt Edward Hagood aged 18 years, the only son of E.C. Hagood, a prominent stock dealer and farmer, residing 5 miles out on Rural Route 1, while getting on a young mule, Sunday evening at Milwaukee a store, 4 miles south of this city, the mule reared up, its head striking Ed., on side of head knocking him insensible, he fell to the ground, striking it very hard. Friends went to his assistance and conveyed him to the residence of Ed Daughtery, where he was cared for. Blood passed freely from his ears and nose; he was able to swallow water. Dr's. Chandler of this city and L.B. Northcutt of Washburn, were called to attend him. We hope for his early recovery and restoration to good health. It is feared that a fracture of the skull exists, and if so, it is questionable about his recovery.
