Cassville Republican, February 5, 1920

Roy P. Burchett died at the home of his father J.P. Burchett,  north  of
Butterfield, Tuesday Jan. 27, 1920, of pneumonia and a  complication  of
other diseases. He was 22 years, 2 months and 13 days old.

He was born and reared mostly in this  state.  He  was  at  Kansas  City
taking a course in the Rahe(?) Auto and  Tractor  school  when  sickness
overtook him.

Funeral  services  were  held  at  the  home  Wednesday  Jan  28,  1920.
Internment made in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

He was married to Miss Ottie Lent Sept. 20, 1917.  He  leaves  a  loving
wife, father, mother three  sisters  and  four  brothers  to  mourn  his
departure.

Note: On January 15, 1920 an item in the  Cassville  Republican  stated:
"Roy Burchett is recovering nicely from the measles and plans  on  being
back to work in a few days."
