Barry County Missouri Obituary Fanny Thompson Reed 1886 - 1919 Source: Scrapbook bought at the estate sale of Vivian Roller by Ted W. Roller ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------Mrs. Chas. Reed Dead Death has blotted out the sweet life of a young wife and mother, that darkened their home and brought sadness to their hearts. She had suffered for sometime with a pulmonary trouble. Mrs. Chas. Reed died at night on July 31, 1919 at their home in Exeter, aged about 30 years, leaving her husband and four children to mourn her passing. She was the only daughter of W.R. Thompson, who lived on Washburn Prarie. The remains were intered in Truelove Cemetery on Aug. 1 where her grandparents, father and mother and many relatives are sleeping. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- NOTE from Susan Reed-Tortorelli : Charles Reed is my grandfather and Fanny was his first wife. She was born to William Thompson and Mary Truelove Thompson on June 16, 1886. The children that survived her are Willie E. Reed 1907 - 1926 who is also buried in Truelove Cemetery Lucille M. Reed Hulsey 1908 - 1980 Marvin T. Reed 1912 - 1937 Carl M. Stephen was brother to my Jane Thompson McCary and the son of Thomas and Priscilla Looney Thompson of Rhea Co.
