Benton County, Missouri Obituaries - Arthur Gardner Obituaries may contain mistakes Cole Camp Courier, July 27, 1967 Arthur Gardner Dies Unexpectedly Arthur Gardner, 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home Friday night, July 21. He was found dead by neighbors when they failed to see him. Death was due to natural causes. Funeral services were held at the Gillespie Funeral Home, Sedalia, at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon, July 24 with the Rev. Walter P. Arnold, officiating. Mrs. C.C. DeLozier played organ selections. Burial was in Crown Hill cemetery. Arthur D. Gardner was born at Cole Camp, Mo., January 4, 1900, son of the late Fred and Anna Tietjen Gardner. At the age of 8 years he moved to Sedalia with his parents. He as a veteran of World War II, serving from September 8, 1942 until October 17, 1944. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Kate Bashore, Sedalia and Mrs. Anna Gunter, Kansas City and one brother, Herman T. Gardner, Independence, Mo. His parents, three brothers, Lawrence, John and Norman, the later died in infancy, and a sister Mrs. Clara Jones, preceded him in death.
