LUTESVILLE---Mrs. Belle Owens, 83 years old, who spent most of her life at Greenbrier, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stella Ramsey, at Advance on Friday. Mrs. Owens was born in Bollinger County on May 25, 1872. She was married 64 years ago to John Owens, and he died a number of years ago. Surviving are four daughters and four sons, 44 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren. The sons and daughters are Mrs. Stella Ramsey, Mrs. Pearl Thomas of Puxico, Mrs. Alma Delay of Owasso, Mich., Mrs. Ennis Knott of Poplar Bluff, Russell Owens of East Alton, Ill., Millard Owens of Edwardsville, Bill Owens of East St. Louis, Ill., and Ed Owens of St. Louis. Funeral Rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Lutesville gymnasium, with Rev. C. R. Baker of Patton and Rev. Odis Virgin of Sullivan in charge. Burial will be at Baker Cemetery, with Baker Funeral Home service. The body is at the funeral home. Additional Comments: Belle's parents were; Enoch Virgin (Bn:1830, Dd:1905) and Elizabeth Shearing (Bn:1832, Dd:1915).
